Viral Video Australian Man Dressed as Woman Tips on Dating
A woman has recounted the eye-opening and at times chilling fallout after being stood up on a first date.
Mason, a radio presenter from Dallas in the US, took to TikTok to explain how, after standing her up, her date claimed that his father had been hospitalised which forced him to miss their dinner.
Stood up
Except, that wasn't true at all, as Mason's date admitted in a follow-up call. He hadn't had to bail on their plans to rush to his father's bedside, he just didn't show up.
When Mason decided not to respond, her date flooded her voicemail with a bizarre string of messages that she subsequently shared at @masononthemic.
To kick things off in her first video, which has since clocked up 6 million views, Mason sets the scene for her date.
"I did my hair, I looked good," she says. "And then I sat in a restaurant for half an hour waiting for him, and he never showed up."

'He lied'
That's when her date used the dad-in-hospital excuse, which he quickly backtracked on.
"Then he called me after that to tell me that his dad wasn't actually in the hospital, and he'd lied.
"He then proceeded to leave me about five or six additional voicemails, I would like to present them to you now."
Across several subsequent videos, Mason plays multiple voicemail messages from a man who sounds increasingly agitated as he accuses her of 'not being fair' by not returning his calls.
"It's been an hour and I haven't heard from you, which I don't think is very cool," the man says in one voicemail.
"I was super-honest with you, I'm starting to re-think things.
"I've talked to my friends and they think I should have heard something from you by now.
"I know you're very busy with your work and everything like that, I just don't think it's fair that you're not calling me back."
In another message, the man yells, "Why haven't you called me back?"
'Dodged a bullet'
At one stage it appears he changes his tactic and sounds less angry, saying he wants to reschedule their date so he could explain how 'honest and cool and calm' he is.
But that 'cool and calm' manner didn't last and before long the man is 'threatening legal action' if Mason shares any of his voicemails on TikTok.
"I should be frightened but I'm also amused... this is comedic gold," Mason remarks in the video.
"He's threatening me with legal action but he still wants me to call him back..."
The latest installment in the saga saw the man's own mother contact Mason, leaving a voicemail asking her to dinner so she could prove that she'd 'raised a good boy'.
The reaction from Mason's fellow TikTok users was overwhelming, with many urging her to take the matter seriously and look after her safety.
"I'm so glad he didn't show up for the first date. Someone was watching out for you!" one wrote.
"You need to block him," instructed another while a third wrote, "Wow that's hella scary".
Others took Mason's lead and saw the funny side of the situation.
"What in the gaslighting HELL?! He stood YOU up and then says 'I thought you were different.'" one user pointed out.
"How many more red flags is he going to give away," wondered another.
"DODGED. A. BULLET," wrote a third.
