Grilled Sweetpotato Wedges

I take my summertime dinner party planning very seriously. The menu needs to be crafted to perfection. All the flavors demand to piece of work together to ensure that the end result is non but gorgeous merely delicious. And you can bet that these Grilled Sweetpotato Wedges with a Cilantro Vinaigrette Dipping Sauce are a natural fit for countless summertime dinners!

Grilled Sweetpotato Wedges

Have you e'er grilled sweetpotatoes earlier? If you haven't… life is nearly to change. And if yous have…. high fives for being crawly. This week I'm teaming up with my friends over at California Sweetpotatoes to bring yous these Grilled Sweetpotato Wedges. Loaded withtons of vitamins, cobweb and calcium these are not only smashing for you… just admittedly delish!

The grill leaves them with a fleck of a smoky finish and those uber amazing grill marks that make me then happy! I've been serving these upward when my menu has a lilliputian Southwestern flare considering of the cilantro vinaigrette. If you're feeling a tad more Mediterranean, you can bandy it out for a basil vinaigrette and go for that flavor profile as well.

Grilled Sweetpotato Wedges

For the Sweetpotato Wedges

  • iv-v California sweetpotatoes
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • Kosher salt and freshly croaky blackness pepper

For the Cilantro Vinaigrette

  • i shallot roughly chopped
  • ii cups tightly packed fresh cilantro leaves stems removed (about 4 ounces)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • one/2 teaspoons carmine pepper flakes
  • one/2 cup olive oil
  • two tablespoons red vino vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

For the Sweetpotato Wedges

  • Make clean sweetpotatoes with a quick rinse of water and use a vegetable peeler to remove the outside afterwards of skin.

  • Cut sweetpotatoes into wedges and drizzle sweetpotatoes with olive oil.

  • Season the sweetpotatoes with salt and pepper and transfer them to a hot indoor or outdoor grill.

  • Grill sweetpotatoes for four-5 minutes per side until grill marks appear and and so remove sweetpotatoes from grill and set aside. These can be served warm or at room temperature with the dipping sauce.

For the Cilantro Vinaigrette

  • Combine all the ingredients for the cilantro vinaigrette in a high powered blender and alloy for lx seconds until very smoothen.

  • Taste and adjust salt and pepper as needed. Serve immediately. Or y'all can air-condition the vinaigrette for up to 3 days.
